IN LOVING MEMORY OF
JOHN WILLIAM
SON OF
JOSEPH & ELIZABETH DAWE
DIED FEB. 24TH 1952
AGED 29 YEARS
HAPPY AND SMILING ALWAYS CONTENT
LOVED AND RESPECTED WHEREVER HE WENT
ALWAYS A SMILE FOR THOSE HE MET
NOW NOTHING BUT HEARTBREAK
AND TEARS OF REGRET
ERECTED BY HIS PARENTS
*There were two John William Dawe stones there. This one was my
grandfather's brother. I regretted that I had nothing with me to remove
the moss from this stone and time was running short. It is sad when the
graves are forgotten like this. I would like to clean it up on another
visit. I was also puzzled why this grave was located in the
"old" part of the cemetery. It is right beside the fence that
runs along the main road. All of the other graves in that area were
from the 1800's. Does anybody know why he would have been buried there?
It was not a family plot as no other famiy members are buried near
there.
