Location: St. Peter's Anglican Cemetery, Upper Gullies. The first time I visited this cemetery, I missed this particular headstone and had to go back to photograph it a couple of years later. It took a little while to find it because it was obscured by some trees or bushes and the dampness of the shady area resulted in quite a number of snails taking up residence on the stone. I once read that snails are very beneficial in cleaning old headstones and this can be seen from the clean white spots on the stone. However, the snails were really in the way of taking a picture of the headstone information. So, we carefully removed all of the snails, took the photograph, and then painstakingly replaced all of the snails to do their thing and left everything as we found it.
